Next Steps After Receiving A Louisiana Insurance License

Receiving your Louisiana insurance license is a great accomplishment! Now that you have your license and you’re a full-fledged insurance agent—what comes next? Discover the path forward from the professionals at Bob Brooks School.

Plan Ahead for Taking CE Courses

Although you just received your license, your education doesn’t stop altogether. In the next two years you’ll need to take 24 hours of continuing education classes. Luckily, online education makes this easier. All of our courses are online and can be reviewed anywhere and anytime.

Of the 24 required hours, three must be approved ethics education. Requirements are different if you’re working in bail bonds or title insurance. However, for property, casualty, and personal producers in Louisiana, three additional hours of flood insurance education is also required within those 24 hours.

At Bob Brooks, we offer courses with a 30-day subscription period—more than enough time to get in your 24 hours. But when is the best for you? Create a schedule and get your education done on your time.
