What To Do After Completing Mississippi Real Estate Licensing

You’ve got your real estate license! Now what? After some well-deserved celebrating, it’s time for your post-licensing education. Your current license lasts one year, and during this time you’re required to complete post-licensing courses to keep it valid. Luckily, Bob Brooks School has courses available to help you meet your post-licensing and continuing education requirements.

Post-Licensing In Mississippi

Even if you didn’t choose Bob Brooks for your pre-licensing education, we’re ready to help you with your post-licensing and continuing education. After receiving your temporary real estate license, you have one year (12 months) to finish your post-licensing education. Mississippi real estate post-licensing isn’t as difficult as one thinks. The required education is 30 hours in Mississippi—sounds easy enough to manage in a year!

At the current time, we offer post-licensing courses for salespersons only. Our MREC-approved courses come with a 60 day subscription period. (Don’t worry! If you need an extension on your course, we offer those as well!) Also, our online courses provide reading material, video presentations and quizzes to keep you engaged and learning!

At the end of each course, you’ll take a final exam and, when you pass, you’ll be able to print out your certificate. We will report your completion directly to MREC so your license will be in good standing.

Choosing Continuing Education

In the state of Mississippi, real estate agents and brokers must complete 16 hours of continuing education courses every two years. Eight of these hours are on required topics, such as ethics, and the other eight are electives.

We offer our continuing education courses in both individual courses or a 16-hour package that includes everything you need. Once purchased, these courses are available for a 30-day subscription period. If you haven’t taken a course with us before, check out our free pre-licensing lessons to see what it’s all about. Just one course will show you why we’re everyone’s favorite real estate school.
