1. Meet the Prerequisites

2. Complete 90 hours of Pre-Licensing

3. Pass a Background Check

If you have been convicted of a felony, it is still possible to receive your license following the felony applicant process. Once cleared without any offenses, it’s time to take your licensing exam.
4. Pass Your Licensing Exam
Your pre-licensing education will prepare you for your licensing exam. To pass this state exam, you must receive a score of 75% or higher. This means that you must answer a minimum of 40 questions out of 55 to pass. Your test will be administered by PSI Exams Online. This exam is $75 and has a time limit of 75 minutes. Should you fail to pass, you can retake your test at a later date.
5. Become Sponsored by a Licensed Louisiana Broker
To perform real estate work, a newly licensed real estate agent is required to work with an established broker to learn the skills needed to succeed in the field. During this time with the brokerage, you will receive guidance and resources to help you excel in real estate sales. 6. Provide Proof of Mandatory Errors and Omissions Before Getting Your License
